The GetMYonlineCV.com website was launched during June 2001, this launch included an extensive poster and sticker campeign around the Exeter University campus which coincided with the release of graduate degree results. GetMYonlineCV.com has also been promoted through the distribution of business card size leaflets through various outlets in the South West of England and also online. GetMYonlineCV.com actively encourages partnerships both online and offline which help to bring its free services to new users. Of particular interest are partnerships with student unions, educational establishments and public libraries.

Chris Homewood developed the GetMYonlineCV.com website from scratch building the core site in less than one month, the whole process was a way of keeping busy following the completion of university finals exams. Chris is a 2001 graduate of Exeter University with a BA(Hons.) in History, his dissertation examined the American influence on British cinema design placed in a social context. Chris has 3 years experience in student radio and has spent time on work experience with the BBC. He has designed websites for local businesses on a freelance basis and has experience in designing for online commerce and integrating internet operations into existing business practice. He is skilled with PHP MySQL SSL and Pascal, as well as many years working with mainstream software, including office applications, graphics processing and 3D modelling software. Chris also has a good grounding in the design and use of database software. This is backed by a Grade A at A-Level in Computing. Chris also has some management training and experience, accompanied by strong interpersonal skills. Chris is embarking on a year abroad in Canada between October 2001 and October 2002 to further develop career opportunities and gain experience working abroad.
